Koraput MP calls for Shah’s dismissal

Koraput: Continuing its protest against Union home minister Amit Shah's "disparaging" remarks about Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in Parliament, the Rayagada unit of the Congress, led by Koraput MP Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, organised a rally on Tuesday at the district headquarters.
The rally culminated in the submission of a memorandum to the district administration on behalf of the President of India. The memorandum demanded a public apology from Shah, citing the hurt caused to millions of Indians by his remarks.
Given the stature of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar and the respect he commands from the citizens of India, it is clear that Amit Shah's remarks have hurt millions of Indians. Now, as the principal opposition party in Parliament, we urge the highest constitutional functionary to immediately dismiss Amit Shah as the Union home minister and direct him to issue a public apology for his remarks against Bhim Rao Babasaheb Ambedkar, stated the memorandum.
