Koraput: Parab-2016, the annual cultural extravaganza of tribal-dominated Koraput district, will start from November 19.
It will be launched from the famous Duduma waterfall in Lamataput block.
"The festival-cum-competition at block and district levels will go on till November 30 before the grand finale to be celebrated on the stadium ground in Koraput from December 2 to 4," said collector (Koraput) Jaya Kumar V.
Officials said Parab includes a mini-marathon apart from tribal dances, songs, music and traditional instruments.
"The aim of the festival is to promote the region's rich cultural heritage. We hope more tourists visiting the district this year," the collector said. A pallishree aela will also be organised in Koraput.
