Chandigarh: Miscreants on bikes sped away after snatching mobile phones from two people in a different parts of the city. The police have registered cases against unknown persons and started a probe.
In her police complaint, Sunita of Khuda Lahora village stated that three miscreants riding on a bike sped away after snatching her phone near a govt school in Khuda Lahora.
She immediately reported the matter to the Sarangpur police. Cops recorded her statement and, after verifying the facts , registered a case against unknown persons. Now, the police are scrutinizing CCTV cameras installed near the crime scene to identify the accused.
In a separate case, Sohan Ram of Manimajra has stated in his police complaint that two people on a bike came from behind and snatched a mobile phone from his hands. Both escaped the spot on their bike. With the help of a passer-by, he reported the matter at 112. Upon receiving the complaint, Manimajra police reached the spot. Police recorded the statement and started a probe.
