Chandigarh: A series of thefts and burglaries were reported from different parts of the city, with miscreants decamping with cash, jewellery, LPG cylinders and electronic items. Police have registered cases and begun investigations.
In Mauli Jagran, a house was found ransacked after the occupants returned from a trip, with cash, an LED TV and valuables stolen. Separate cases of burglary were reported in Sector 15 and Maloya, involving theft of gold-silver jewellery and cash.
In another incident, a hotel owner in Sector 45 accused an employee of stealing and selling LCDs. Police said CCTV footage is being examined and further probe is underway.
