CHANDIGARH: A major ruckus was witnessed during the monthly general house meeting between municipal councillors of the Congress-AAP alliance and BJP.
The arguments started when BJP councillors levelled allegations against the city mayor, claiming that sand was lifted from the Dhanas area at his behest.
Following this, Congress-AAP members entered the well with a poster of Anil Masih, a nominated councillor, and started raising slogans against him by chanting "Vote Chor, Vote Chor" (Vote Thief).
This led to a scuffle between Congress councillor Gurpreet Singh and BJP councillor Kuljeet Singh Sandhu, as Sandhu tried to snatch the poster from Singh's hands.
Sensing the situation, city mayor Kuldeep Kumar announced a break. After the break, the meeting resumed.
