Fashion concepts, menswear trends discussed

, touched various aspects of the fashion world. The session was on the scope of menswear-- from a job to a studio and everything in between.
More than 60 faculty members, research scholars and students of fashion took part in the event, which had an experienced speaker from the fashion world. While the speaker talked about his journey and experiences in the field of fashion, he shared that the Indian menswear market, despite being small has a luxury segment that can be targeted with experimentation to create a niche. He said, "

Also, the menswear designs should encompass experimental as well as multi-dimensional aesthetic, which would include a right mix of colours, fabrics, textures and surface ornamentation. The speaker also mentioned that less is more and sticking to basics and then trying to evolve always helps. "The designs should be different. Sustainability too has to be at the core of any concept." Later, he talked about how digital platforms are influencing new trends. However, he mentioned there's no alternative to passion and hard work.
