Huda set to buildTricity’s biggest park in Sector 24

Panchkula: HUDA (Haryana Urban Development Authority) plans to develop an open air theatre and café inside the multi-feature park for trans-Ghaggar residents in Sector 24 on a budget of Rs 9.49 crore. The park will also have musical fountains, decorative lighting, jogging track and walking track.Huda officials said that they would open tender for open air theatre and a café within a month. The open air theatre would allow residents to organise events and practice different art forms. Officials said they were also making a meditation garden inside the park. Other attractions of the park will include a topiary garden, suspense fountain and a maze.Sector 25 residents will have direct entry to the park with the construction of a foot overbridge. The officials claims that the park is being developed on 18 acres of land with multiple features. He also said that it would be the biggest park in the Tricity. Huda planned to construct the park three years ago but could not do so due to financial crunch. Now, they claim to have sufficient funds. The park will also include a musical fountain, four public toilets, three parking lots, 1,250 meter jogging track and walking track each and 10 shops sites in the parking lot. There will be a ban on rehri/phadis in the parking lots.Huda officials plan to construct a marriage palace on six acres of land next to the park. Officials said people had to go to Zirakpur to organise weddings, because of which Haryana was losing revenue.
