In Tarn Taran, all 5 of family killed as roof collapses

Tarn Taran: All five members of a family were killed as the temporary roof of their house collapsed at Pandhori Golan village, Tarn Taran, on Saturday morning. The deceased were identified as Gurvinder Singh (40), wife Amarjeet Kaur (36), their sons Gurbaj Singh (14), Gurlal Singh (17), and daughter Ekam (15).Tarn Taran senior superintendent of police (SSP) Abhimanyu Rana said the family had given temporary support to the weakened roof, which slipped on Saturday morning, causing the structure to collapse. He said all five members of the family succumbed to their injuries.Upon hearing the loud noise, neighbours rushed to the spot and took the injured to the hospital, but they died. A neighbour, Gurmeet Singh, said the tragedy occurred around 5am. He added that since there were no survivors, locals quickly gathered and transported the injured to the hospital, but none could be saved.
