The protests, led by organizations such as the Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM), are driven by demands for fair compensation and benefits under the new agricultural laws.

Farmers are seeking a legally guaranteed Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops, loan waivers, pensions for farmers, justice for the victims of the 2021 Lakhimpur Kheri violence, and compensation for the families of farmers who lost their lives during the 2020-21 protests. "We are ready for our march towards Delhi. We will begin our journey from Noida's Maha Maya flyover on December 2 and demand our rightful compensation," said Sukhbir Khalifa, leader of the BKP.

The farmers are also pushing for the reinstatement of the 2013 Land Acquisition Act and the withdrawal of police cases filed during earlier protests.
