CHANDIGARH: Police have arrested a juvenile on charges of bludgeoning a man to death with a brick. Three other accused are absconding, police said.
Police had booked a juvenile and three others, identified as Mohammad Faijan (19) of Bijnor (Uttar Pradesh), Salman Ahmad (26) of Delhi and Mohammad Akram for the murder of Harikesh (28). All of them had been under the influence of liquor, police said. Complainant Taslim and his two brothers, Muntjeer and, Mustkeen got injured.
Police said the juvenile and Harikesh were reportedly consuming liquor on Wednesday night in Mauli village, when both after an argument started thrashing each other.
Taslim and his two brothers, Muntjeer and Mustkeen, who were passing by, got involved. Then Faijan, Ahmad and Akram too got involved, when Harikesh was allegedly hit with a brick on his chest, leading to his death.
