Kharar police get 10-day remand of gangster Jaggu

Mohali: Gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria was produced in Kharar court on Monday, which remanded him for 10 days to Kharar police. He was brought on production warrant from Jalandhar. Jaggu’s name had surfaced in the case registered under the Arms Act last Friday. On Friday, September 9, at around 4pm, the Kharar police had put up a blockade near Christian School. And based on a tip-off stopped a black car with illegal weapons coming from Chandigarh. On searching, they found 11 illegal weapons. Police had arrested Manpreet Singh alias Bhima, a resident of Ludhiana. During interrogation, Bhima had named Jaggu. On Monday, the police had obtained the transit remand of Jaggu from the Jalandhar court. tnn
