said on Monday that parents should keep an eye on their kids and that “roaming“ around after midnight was “not a right thing“, triggering sharp responses from even his party colleagues, including city MP Kirron Kher.With the Haryana government and BJP already at the receiving end of the stalking incident in which BJP's Haryana president Subhash Barala's son Vikas is an accused, Bhatti added to the controversy . Hours later, Kher called Bhatti's statement “unfortunate“. “It, unfortunately, reflects the mindset of most of the men of the country . And I think that Mr Bhatti should have applied restraint and not made this comment, what else can I say? It is not the right thing to have said; it is not right,“ she said.

Kher said there were many young girls who worked late into the night, and went out to watch movies and met friends. “We have to provide them security and safety . We can't blame them for being out at night, whether they are girls or boys. They are all equal. What were those guys doing drunk on the road chasing her at midnight?“ Kher said.
