MES employee dies by suicide at Rewari home, leaves behind pregnant wife, 1-year-old son

Rewari: A 28-year-old employee of the Military Engineering Services (MES) allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Nehrugarh village of Rewari district on Wednesday morning.The deceased, Yogesh, was posted in Barmer, Rajasthan, and had returned home on leave around 25 days ago. He is survived by his pregnant wife, one-year-old son, father, grandparents and younger brother. According to police and family members, Yogesh was sleeping in a separate room on Tuesday night. When he did not come out for a long time on Wednesday morning, family members broke open the door and found him hanging from a ceiling fan.Police reached the spot after being informed and shifted the body for post-mortem examination before handing it over to the family.Naahar police outpost in-charge Arvind Yadav said proceedings under Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code were initiated on the statement of the deceased's brother."No suicide note was recovered during initial investigation. The family has stated that Yogesh had been under mental stress for some time. The exact reason is being investigated," he said.Family members said Yogesh joined MES in 2022.
