and Baljinder Kaur were yet again booked for duping. This time a resident of Tarn Taran was cheated on the pretext of sending her abroad with family.

Victim Kulwinder Kaur has told police that the couple who runs an immigration office in Phase 5, Mohali, had promised two years ago to send her family abroad and taken Rs 4.30 lakh for it. When she asked for money back, they asked for three months more, or they'll return the amount with an extra 3% interest, but they returned only Rs 1.15 lakh. For the past 10 months, Ekam is at large and Baljinder lodged in Ropar jail.
