Mother from Kurukshetra going to visit daughter among AI plane crash victims

Kurukshetra: Anju Sharma from Ram Saran Majra village near Babain in Haryana's Kurukshetra was among the people who died in an Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad on Thursday. She was travelling to London to visit her elder daughter Nimmi Sharma.Originally from Kurukshetra, Anju, daughter of Jagdish Sharma, was married in Punjab's Patiala district before settling in Vadodara, Gujarat, where her late husband worked in the oil industry.A well-known figure in her community, Anju was also the sister of film actor Milan Sharma. While Nimmi resides in London, her younger daughter Honey Sharma is settled in Vadodara.According to her cousin Vaibhav Sharma, Anju had boarded the flight with joy and anticipation of reuniting with her daughter. The news of the crash quickly reached Nimmi, who contacted her maternal uncle Milan Sharma. The confirmation of the tragedy devastated the family.Back in Ram Saran Majra, the village was gripped by sorrow as news of Anju's death spread. Villagers gathered to console the grieving family, remembering her as a warm and kind-hearted woman devoted to her family.Anju married Pawan Sharma in 1990; he ran a private company in Vadodara and passed away five years ago.
