Newlywed woman among 2 killed as bus rams motorcycle

Yamunanagar: Two women were killed after a private bus allegedly rammed their motorcycle on the Jagadhri-Paonta Sahib highway near Manakpur village in Haryana's Yamunanagar district on Monday morning.Deceased Khusboo and Pooja were riding pillion on the motorcycle being driven by Shiv Kumar, who was injured in the accident. Shiv and Khusboo married on April 29.Shiv has been admitted to the civil hospital in Yamunanagar.Police said the couple and their relative Pooja were on their way to the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple in Chhachhrauli to offer prayers when the accident occurred. When they were near Manakpur village, their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a private bus coming from behind.Khusboo and Pooja died on the spot. The police have registered a case against the bus driver after arresting him and initiated an investigation.
