The commission has urged the Punjabi singer to refrain from performing songs such as Patiala Peg, 5 Tara, and Case, even with altered lyrics, as they promote themes of alcohol, drugs, and violence.

These themes, the panel stated, have a negative impact on children of impressionable age.

Citing a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), the panel highlighted that adults should not be exposed to sound with a peak sound pressure level above 140 dB, while for children, the recommended limit is 120 dB.

It advised against inviting children on stage during live shows where the peak sound pressure level exceeds 120 dB, as it could be harmful to their health.

The CCPCR also requested the singer to ensure that alcohol is not served to individuals below the age of 25, as it is a punishable offense under the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act and other relevant legal provisions.

A spokesperson for the panel told The Times of India that the advisory has been sent to Diljit Dosanjh via email and has also been posted on the commission's official website.
