Panchkula: Rain washes away Pinjore bridge

PANCHKULA: Connectivity of Pinjore with Baddi and Doon area has been cut off as a temporary bridge was washed away in flash floods during heavy rains which lashed the region over the past two days. The bridge was damaged as necessary parameters had not been adopted for its construction.

The bridge had been constructed to give passage to vehicles coming from Baddi and Doon areas and vice-versa. Advocate Vijay Bansal, former chairman, Shivalik Vikas Manch said that the temporary bridge had not been constructed properly as heavy vehicles were facing problems in reaching the bridge, causing huge traffic jam daily.

PANCHKULA:He asked the state government to make proper arrangements saying that common people were suffering for no fault of theirs, which was unacceptable.
