Tina celebrates first Eid with new family in Pak
Amritsar:
“Allah ki taraf say jajba aa jata hai Roza rakhnay ka (Allah inspires to observe Roza)” said Aishya while talking to TOI over the phone from Pakistan.
She said she also tried to cook sweet delicacy ‘seviyan’ (vermicelli) for the family. “But Indian Punjabi style ‘seviyan’ dish is different from Pakistani style, so my mother-in-law cooked it. I have noted down the recipe and I will cook ‘seviyan’ for everyone on next Eid,” she added.
Thrilled to receive ‘Eidi’ of gold chain from her husband and an expensive suit from her mother-in-law, Aiysha said the whole family was out last night shopping and visiting relatives.
Blamed her Indian husband of domestic violence, the mother of two teenaged sons Tina had left her husband and children to marry Suleman whom she had befriended while playing an online game in 2015. She left for Pakistan on October 24, 2018 and married Suleman on October 29.
Refusing to talk about her past, she said she was scared of her family’s safety when rumours about her went viral on the social media. “My husband has even approached the district administration seeking security cover,” she said.
Suleman said he was blessed to have a wife like Aiysha who had mixed well in the family. At the same time, he also expressed concern about his family’s safety. “Some people are spreading fake news about her especially when there is heightened tension between India and Pakistan. It has left me concerned about our safety and I have approached the administration. Let’s hope, they will make sufficient arrangements for the purpose,” he said.
