Congress backs TVK to form govt in Tamil Nadu after hung Assembly verdict
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Congress leaders on Wednesday met TVK president Vijay at the party headquarters in Chennai and extended support to the party to form the government in the state following a hung Assembly verdict.
Selvaperunthagai, who had earlier criticised Vijay and opposed any alliance with TVK, was also part of the meeting as the Congress Legislature Party and the TNCC backed the move to support TVK in staking claim to form the government.
