Coronavirus: LVB employees contribute Rs 68 lakh to govt relief funds

CHENNAI: Officers and staff of Lakshmi Vilas Bank (

LVB

) have contributed Rs 68.15 lakh for the fight against

Covid-19

pandemic.

All the

employees

of LVB have contributed a day’s salary, of which Rs 24 lakh was sent to the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund and Rs 44.15 lakhs towards the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund (CMPRF) in Tamil Nadu.

“In testing times like these, where we are separated physically, it is important for us to unite and contribute for the welfare of our nation,” said an official release by General Secretary of LVB Officers Association.

The bank’s officers’ association have been indulging in volunteering activities too, distributing masks, sanitizers and food.
