It will be inaugurated at VR Chennai, Anna Nagar, on January 24 by Karin Stoll, consul general of the Federal Republic of Germany in Chennai.

The event will start with the unveiling of the VR Art

Car

, painted by artist and documentary filmmaker Gita Hudson. It will be followed by an exclusive viewing of works by senior artists such as Benitha Perciyal, Seema Kohli, Parvathi Nair, Michael Wegener, Yuvan Bothysathuvar and Vijay Pichumani. The event will culminate with “Wearable Art” - A Fashion Show by NIFT

Guild 2020 will encourage creative explorations around the theme of sustainability, through partnerships with leading institutions and eminent people from the city’s artistic community.

Collaborators for this edition include National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai; Chennai Photo Biennale Foundation, Cholamandal Artists’ Village, Government College of Fine Arts (Kumbakonam), Government College of Fine Arts Chennai (alumni), International Foundation of the Arts and Gallery Veda.
