O Panneerselvam invites applications for 40 Lok Sabha seats; interviews with prospective candidates on Sunday

CHENNAI: Former AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam on Saturday invited applications from poll aspirants to contest in all 39 Lok Sabha seats and the lone Puducherry seat. Interviews for aspirants will take place on Sunday evening.

In an official release, the ousted AIADMK leader has invited aspirants to contest on behalf of AIADMK Thondargal Urimai Meetpu Kuzhu (A committee to reclaim the rights of AIADMK cadres).

Panneerselvam said interested candidates could get applications from the conference hall of Hotel New Woodlands, Dr Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore, Chennai, on Sunday between 9am and 4pm on payment of Rs 10,000. They could submit their forms the same day, he said. Interviews would take place at 6pm the same day.

The former CM set up a committee of seven members to hold seat-sharing talks that include MLAs R Vaithilingam, Paul Manoj Pandian, RS MP R Dharmar, former minister Ku Pa Krishnan, and ex-MLA JCD Prabhakar.

The committee members, along with ex-MLA A Subburathinam would take part in interviews scheduled for Sunday evening, OPS said.
