One killed, 12 injured in tractor-van collision near Kanchi
Chennai: A 30-year-old man was killed and 12 others injured when their tractor collided with a private company van near Kancheepuram on Thursday morning.
When the vehicles collided, B Venkatesan, a resident of Melsirunai village, was thrown from the tractor. A trailer attached to the vehicle ran over his right thigh, causing grievous injuries. He died on the spot.
Twelve others who sustained minor injuries were taken to Kancheepuram Govt Hospital. A case has been registered and investigation is under way.
