Power cut announced for several parts of Chennai

Tangedco

has announced suspension of power supply in several parts of Chennai from 9 am to 1pm on Saturday (June 19) for maintenance work.

According to an official release, there will be

power cut

in Pattabiram, Thirumullaivoyal, Manali New Town, Melur, Adyar Besant Nagar and Shastri Nagar, Velachery west and central, east, IT corridor, Puzhal, Stanley,

Saidapet

, Porur, Neelankarai, Palavakam, Guindy, K K Nagar, Ambattur and Anna Salai.

In Pattabiram, there will be power cut in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Lakshimi Nagar, Balaji Nagar and surrounding areas.

In Thirumullaivoyal, there will be power cut in Lakshmipuramkonimedu, Gandhinagar and surrounding areas.

Manali New Town, KGL Nagar and surrounding areas near Manali and Pattamanthuri, Vallur and Athipattu near Melur will also have power cut.

In Adyar, Besant Nagar and Shastri Nagar area, there will be power cut in TTM Street, Anna Colony, Vannanthurai, M G Road and Lakshmipuram.

In Velachery west and central, there will be power cut in parts of 100 Feet Bypass, Lakshmi Nagar, MGR Nagar and nearby areas.

In Velachery east, power cut will be in Tansi Nagar, Anna Nagar, Anna Nagar Extension, Annai Indira Nagar, VGP Selva Nagar & Extension, Balamurugan Street and Venus Colony.

In IT Corridor, there will be power cuts in ETL area, Sholinganallur, Taramani, Thoraipakkam, Ezhil Nagar and surrounding areas.

In Puzhal and Stanley, there will be power cut in Valluvar Nagar, Bharathidasan Nagar and surrounding areas and in Ambedkar Nagar, Stanley Nagar, Jayaram Street and surrounding areas.

In Saidapet, there will be power cut in Rengarajapuram, Thomas Nagar, Kakkan Puram and surrounding areas, while in Porur, there will be power cut in Gerugambakkam, Porur, Karambakkam, Mangadu, Kundrathur, Parivakkam, Panimalar College, Thirumudivakkam & Industrial areas and surrounding areas.

In Neelankarai, there will be power cut in Blue Beach Road, Sea View Avenue, Casuarina Drive and surrounding areas. In Palavakkam, there will be power cut in Chinna Neelangari Kuppam, Ranga Reddy Garden, Mettu Colony and surrounding areas.

In Guindy, there will be power cut in Madipakkam, Adambakkam, Nanganallur, T G Nagar and surrounding areas while in K K Nagar, there will be power cut in Ashok Nagar, KK Nagar,

Vadapalani

, Alagirinagar and surrounding areas.

In Ambattur, Puliambedu, Devi Nagar, Susainagar and surrounding areas will have power cut while in Anna Salai, there will be power cut in Annasalai Gee Gee Complex, Sathiyamoorthy Bhavan and surrounding areas.

Power supply will be restored before 1pm if maintenance work is completed.
