Presidential elections: Ram Nath Kovind, Meira Kumar to campaign in Chennai on Saturday

CHENNAI: NDA presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind and opposition parties’ candidate Meira Kumar will be campaigning in Chennai on Saturday.

Kovind will meet MLAs and MPs in the AIADMK Puratchi Thalaivi Amma faction (who support former chief minister O Panneerselvam) at the Russian Visa Centre on the Kasutri Rangan Road in the afternoon.

In the evening, he will meet AIADMK (Amma) MLAs and MPs (supporting chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami) at Kalaivanar Arangam in Triplicane.

Meira Kumar will meet MLAs belonging to the DMK, the Congress and the IUML at Leela Palace at 6pm.

Later, she will meet DMK president M Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence around 8pm.
