Resident moves HC for TN-only admissions at Sainik school
According to A R Gokula Krishnan, sainik schools have a direct link to national security and, therefore, the ministry of defence should take over and fund all 28 schools. “It would cost the ministry just 0.05% of the Rs 1.05 lakh crore military budget, to run all the 28 Sainik Schools,” he added.
An IAS officer must be posted as honorary secretary, the petitioner said. And infrastructure and training methodologies should be improved to develop students into highly talented and efficient officers, he said.
He wanted the court to direct the government to consider introducing the coaching provided by the National Defence Academy.
