Sasikala said on Monday evening that she and her
MLAs
, staying at a resort at
Koovathur
, will leave the place “happily” on Tuesday after the
Supreme Court pronounces its verdict on the disproportionate assets case in which she is an accused.
Sasikala was addressing around 100 MLAs staying at the Golden Bay Resorts after it was reported that Supreme Court would pronounce the verdict on the DA case at 10.30am on Tuesday.
“We will leave this place happily tomorrow,” she said amidst applause. An MLA screamed that she would win the disproportionate assets case in the Supreme Court.
“We have decided to do everything in a peaceful manner because we have to face people for the next four years,” Sasikala said.
Sasikala, who drove down to the Golden Bay Resort for the day on Monday,
will stay there overnight .
A confident-looking Sasikala said AIADMK government would continue to rule the state. She hit out at chief minister O Pannerselvam for
splitting the party . “They (

camp) has been threatening woman MLAs of dire consequences if they don’t move over to his camp,” she said.
Before meeting the MLAs, Sasikala toured the Koovathur village and met a few residents. “I walked into one of the houses and saw a portrait of Amma (late chief minister J Jayalalithaa) in the house. They had garlanded the portrait. It shows how Amma continues to live in the hearts of the people,” she said.
She announced that a memorial would be built at the burial site of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa and grand celebrations would be held in Ramavaram Gardens on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the founder AIADMK, MG Ramachandran.
