'Screaming in fear after threatened by DMK-flagged cars': Six arrested for harassing women on Chennai's East Coast Road

CHENNAI: Six people have been arrested for harassing three women and a man inside a car on East Coast Road (ECR) in Chennai.

Police said that Chandru, a college student, was the first to be picked up, leading to the arrest of five more suspects.

Police have seized two cars and are searching for two more suspects.

Police are questioning them to know the reason behind their act.

On Wednesday, a video went viral in which a few women travelling in their car were being pursued by two more cars full of men.

In the video, one man was seen getting down from his car and running towards the women’s car. One of the cars that obstructed the path of the women’s car, sported a ruling DMK party flag.
