Chennai: Suspect in assault case breaks hand in escape bid

CHENNAI: A 22-year-old

suspect

on the run in connection with an assault case fractured his hand when police nabbed him in East Tambaram on Friday.

tried to escape when police personnel surrounded him near

Madras Christian College

and fell in the attempt, ending up with a fractured hand, said police.

Police had earlier arrested

G Vignesh

, 22, of Irumbuliyur, and C Rajmohan, 23, of

Madhanandhapuram

in the case before they were sent to jail.
