Manikandan was responding to Manithaneya Jananayaga Katchi legislator Thamimun Ansari’s demand that the app be banned. Participating in the debate on budget, Ansari said TikTok was degrading culture and encouraging pornography, besides causing law and order trouble. “We have social responsibility. The state has to ban immediately,” he said.
