Anti-drug day: Police ensure students say no to drugs

Coimbatore: On the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Monday, the city police organised various events, including a 10-km run, and made students take pledge against using drugs.
The run started at the police recruits school (PRS) around 6am on Monday. District collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, city police commissioner V Balakrishnan, corporation commissioner M Prathap and around 450 police personnel participated in the run.
Police also arranged various cultural events at PRS, in which students from various colleges performed to raise awareness against drugs. Then police personnel and students took pledge against drugs.
Similarly, college students gathered at important traffic signals in the city at 11am and took pledge against drugs.
