Dhivakar of Lalgudi in Trichy was arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP), Podanur, for robbing a passenger in the Mangalore Express on November 25. During interrogation, he told police that he was facing cases in Tirupur, Nagapattinam, Egmore and Trichy. Inspector Dhanalakshmi had prepared a detailed report and sent it to director general of police (railways) C Sylendra Babu and inspector general of police (IGP- railways) Vanitha.
GRP requested passengers to contact 1512 for immediate help from police. Passengers can also seek help through the Kavalan app and WhatsApp number 99625 00500.
