exponent K Kalyanasundaram and sitar exponent Pandit Mitta Janardhan were also presented the award at the 97th celebrations of Ganagandharva Ghantasala organised by World Telugu Federation along with Kala Pradarshini Centre for Performing Arts. In his acceptance speech, Krishnan said he felt the award was not just for him, but for his entire team of employees.
Heaping praises on Krishnan and the music exponents, Tamilisai said fine arts was important for mental wellbeing. “I once attend a music concert during a hectic phase of political developments. I went there with heart full of heaviness. But when I left, I felt light and soothed by the music,'' she said.
Chairman of World Telugu Federation V S Indhira Dutt presided over the function.
