COIMBATORE: A Class 10 girl at a government higher secondary school in
Manickampalayam

Tiruchengode
tested positive for
Covid-19
on Thursday.
The girl was immediately shifted to a government hospital for treatment and other 300 people in the school, including teachers were also tested.
“Luckily none of the other students and staff were tested positive after the test results came on Friday,” said
Namakkal
district chief education officer A Balumuthu.
Alternative arrangements have been made for the students to continue their classes from Friday. About 280 students had attended classes on the first day of reopening on Wednesday.
