Orissa High Court notice to NHAI on Keonjhar new toll plaza

CUTTACK: The Orissa HC has issued a notice to the chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) with regard to the operation of a

new toll plaza

on NH-520 in

Keonjhar

district.

The single-judge bench of

Justice Biswanath Rath

issued the notice on a writ petition seeking relocation of the toll plaza in strict adherence to the National Highways Fees (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rule, 2008.

As an interim measure, it is directed that there shall be no collection of fees from the new toll plaza near Karansahi village at Bileipada under the Joda police station in Keonjhar district until the next date of listing of this matter, Justice Rath ordered.
