19-year-old Pauri youth killed in Delhi violence

Dehradun: A 19-year-old youth from Pauri district was reportedly killed in the violence that has erupted in Delhi. His charred body was found in a shop and was identified by one of his relatives who works with him in the national capital. Talking to TOI, SSP Pauri, Daljit Singh Kunwar said that the youth was identified as Dilbar Singh (19), son of Gopal Singh from Rokhara village in Pauri.

“No one in the family of the youth had contacted the police but as per information, the youth was living in Delhi with one of his relatives from Kumaon. His family has already left for Delhi. In all likelihood, he will be cremated in Delhi,” he added.

Meanwhile, some unconfirmed reports also stated that Dilbar Singh was sleeping in the gowdown of the bakery he used to work in, which was set ablaze by a mob. He was living in Shahdara locality in the national capital. His charred body was brought to GTB hospital on Wednesday, where he was identified by his relatives who were looking for him since he had gone missing.
