: Amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, the evacuation flights being operated by the Indian government were able to bring six more

students to Delhi from Bucharest (Romania) on Tuesday.
Among these, two students each are from Dehradun and Haridwar districts while one each is from Pauri Garhwal and Udham Singh Nagar districts, according to the state information department. "The six students were received at the airport by state additional resident commissioner in Delhi, Ajay Mishra, senior management officer
Ranjan Mishra and assistant protocol officers Manoj Joshi and Deepak Chamoli," said the statement.
Earlier on Monday, seven students had landed in Delhi in special evacuation flights from Bucharest. Since Sunday, a total of 23 state residents stranded in
Ukraine
have safely returned to Uttarakhand.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami after offering his prayers at a temple on the occasion of Mahashivratri, in his constituency of Khatima, met families of two students stranded in Ukraine.
During the meeting, he assured them of the safe return of their wards to India saying, "Uttarakhand government is committed to bringing back all the stranded state residents safely to home." As per the state home department, there are at least 275 state residents stranded in Ukraine of which a maximum of 64 are from the Dehradun district. The figures were shared by the department after collecting related information from the families of the stranded residents as of Monday evening.
