According to the medical superintendent of Premnagar hospital, R K Ahluwalia, “She was brought dead to the hospital at 3.25am. Symptoms indicate that she suffered a major heart attack.”

A team of 30 doctors, 108 paramedical staff and a fleet of 27 ambulances were posted at the venue.

Meanwhile, fear of snakes hidden in the lush lawn of the venue temporarily sent people into panic after some of them complained they felt a sting.

“Most participants who complained of a sting were actually bitten by an insect or a non-poisonous scorpion. There were no cases of snake bite,” said chief medical officer of Dehradun, Dr S K Gupta.
