: The
Uttarakhand Film Development Council
in a joint venture with
Film and Television Institute of India
(FTII) Pune is conducting a five-day film appreciation course in the city from June 6 to June 10. CM
Trivendra Singh Rawat who will inaugurate the course on Wednesday said that the sessions will provide information on making of films. The CM said that such a workshop is being conducted for the first time in the Himalayan state.
Recently, the CM while interacting with youths during the Devbhoomi Dialogue had said that the state government is committed to turning youths into experts in the field of technology for which national level institutes would be invited to Uttarakhand. As part of this, FTII Pune had presented a project to the CM which was approved by the latter.
Similar workshops would be held in
Almora
and Tehri.
Additionally, a script writing course would be organised in Dehradun in July 2018. Future workshops will introduce courses on acting, digital cinematography, digital film production, TV serial, fiction writing and still photography.
