Two murders reported in Udham Singh Nagar in one day

Rudrapur: A 26-year-old man named Sanjay Pal, a resident of Milak Khanam Village in district Rampur, Uttar Pradesh was stabbed to death by Gaurav Pal, of the same locality and Vicky pal, a resident of Shiv nagar colony. The incident took place on Sunday night when Sanjay along with his brother-in-law came to Rudrapur to attend a wedding. They were attacked by Gaurav and his accomplices on Nainital highway near Ahuja Dharamshala. Vikram Rathore, SHO of the local police station identified long standing enmity between the two families as the motive behind the crime. “Sanjay’s brother Vijay Pal was accused of murdering Gaurav’s elder brother eight years ago. He was rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead,” Rathore said. Both Gaurav and Vicky were arrested by the police from their hideout in Shiv Nagar. They were presented before the court and later sent to jail.

In another incident reported from Nanakmatta town of the district, a 30-year-old man named Kuldeep Singh was shot dead by his brother-in-law over a property dispute. The police officials said that Singh went to his farm for sugarcane harvesting when a heated argument broke out between Kuldeep and his brother-in-law Baljeet Singh. The latter along with three accomplices opened fire on Kuldeep who died on the spot. Mamata Vohra, SP City said, “One of the accused named Sonu has been arrested and a manhunt has been launched to nab the other three absconding accused, including Baljeet Singh.”
