MUSSOORIE: A private bus coming from Gangotri fell from the road into a gorge near Gandhi Chowk in Mussoorie on Tuesday. Except for the driver and conductor, there was no one else on the bus when the accident took place.
The two injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital. The accident took place when the driver was trying to park the bus after the passengers disembarked.
“While parking the vehicle, the driver lost control of the wheels and the bus fell into a gorge near a fire station. The injured driver and conductor are out of danger,” said Guman Singh Negi, senior sub-inspector, Mussoorie.
The bus driver has been identified as 28-year-old Vimal Tamta, a resident of Chamoli, while the conductor, 23-year-old Bhuwan, hails from Nepal.
