NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old officer from Punjab and Sind Bank died by suicide by leaping in front of an oncoming metro train at Rajiv Chowk Metro sation in Delhi.

The incident was reported on Friday evening. The deceased was identified as Divanshu Chopra. Although a thorough investigation was conducted, no suicide note was recovered from the spot.

According to law enforcement officials, Divanshu had traveled from Amritsar to Delhi the same day. He held the position of an officer at Punjab and Sind Bank and resided with his parents in Amritsar, police said.
