To accelerate rescue efforts and locate the remaining missing individuals, the Telangana government deployed robotic technology inside the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel at Domalapenta on Tuesday. While the decision to utilize robots was made earlier, it took three days to procure and customize the equipment for the tunnel's specific conditions.

A team from Hyderabad-based ANVI Robotics, including experts Vijay and Akshay, entered the tunnel alongside robots equipped with AI cameras and an additional 110 personnel via a locomotive. A dedicated communication system was established outside the tunnel to facilitate real-time coordination. “Robots are being used in the last 50 metres of the tunnel, as advised by the Geological Survey of India (GSI). This section is structurally weak and could collapse if rescue teams attempt to dig or drill there. We are hopeful that the use of robots will help trace the remaining missing individuals,” Arvind Kumar, special chief secretary (disaster management), told TOI. The robots will also assist in removing the silt accumulated in the final 50 meters of the tunnel

The bitcoin scam has come under renewed focus following the government’s clarification that it has not allocated 12 acres of industrial land in Tumakuru district to Ksiroda India Private Limited, a company owned by Ranya Rao, where her brother, K Rushab, serves as a director.

Sources revealed: “We need to know how payments were made for the purchase of 14.2 kg of gold that was being carried by Ranya when she arrived from Dubai, and we are exploring all angles, including cryptocurrency.”
