Several districts in Karnataka are expected to experience rainfall over the next three days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

CS Patil, senior meteorologist at IMD, stated, “Pre-monsoon activity is intensifying across Karnataka, leading to a drop in temperatures and much-needed relief from scorching heat. Low-level wind convergence is strong, and there is good moisture feedback from the Bay of Bengal, along with high humidity. The conditions are highly favourable for rain in south interior and interior Karnataka.”

He further mentioned that thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected in multiple districts, particularly in the southern and coastal regions.

Airlines issued advisories urging passengers to check flight statuses before heading to the airport. Air India released a statement saying, “Due to adverse weather conditions in Bengaluru, flight operations are impacted, resulting in air traffic congestion.”
