Delhi missed the NCAP target to cut PM10 levels by 20-30% by 2023, achieving only a 12% reduction from 2017 levels by 2024, as per CREA. In response, the CAQM imposed a ban on construction and demolition and restricted BS III petrol and BS IV diesel four-wheelers under Stage III of GRAP in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and GB.
