Police arrest teen ‘kingpin’ of narco gang

New Delhi: Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has busted a narco syndicate with the arrest of a 19-year-old alleged mastermind and his three accomplices. Police said the syndicate was involved in drug distribution across the national capital and its outskirts, and had its tentacles extending from Odisha to Delhi. The arrested persons have been identified as Harsh Vardhan (19), Ramesh Kumar Sharma (45), Amit Kumar Tiwari (29) and Arul Pandian (25). Special commissioner of police (crime branch), Ravindra Singh Yadav, said a trap was laid based on a tip-off about a drug delivery in Gandhi Vihar. Around 25 kg of high-quality cannabis was seized from them, he said. tnn
