From AI to Cyber Forensics: Delhi Police Signs MoU to Future-Proof Investigations
New Delhi: To strengthen the capabilities of investigating officers in areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber scams and social media monitoring, Delhi Police has signed an MoU with National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) to conduct specialised training programmes for its personnel.
The MoU was signed in the presence of commissioner of Police Satish Golchha. The signatories included Special CP Sanjay Kumar and Dr. Madan Mohan Tripathi, vice chancellor of NIELIT.
Police said the programmes would help cops stay updated with the latest technological developments and equip them with the skills required to effectively investigate and prevent technology-enabled crimes.
Police said modern policing is undergoing rapid transformation and digital exploitation has posed complex challenges for law enforcement agencies. “In such a dynamic environment, traditional methods alone are not sufficient, and continuous learning, technological adaptation and specialised training have become essential components of modern policing,” police said.
