Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) contender Anil Jha has emerged victorious in the Kirari assembly constituency, defeating Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Bajrang Shukla. The counting of votes began at 8 am. Initially, the race was tight, but Jha eventually secured a decisive win with a margin of 21,871 votes and a vote share of 52.26%. He received 1,05,660 votes, while Shukla won 83,749 votes.

Meanwhile, Indian National Congress candidate Rajesh Kumar Gupta finished far behind, managing only 6,847 votes.

The Kirari Assembly constituency is one of the 70 assembly seats in Delhi and falls under the North West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. It was established in 2008 following the reorganisation by the Delimitation Commission. Located in the North West Delhi district, Kirari is among the 10 assembly segments that contribute to the parliamentary seat. The counting of votes has started at 8am.

AAP nominated Anil Jha Vats, a well-known political figure in the constituency. On the other hand, BJP fielded Bajrang Shukla, signaling a strong challenge to reclaim the seat.

Rajesh Kumar Gupta contested from Congress, potentially making it a three-way contest.

In 2025, there were 2,73,856 electors out of which, 1,72,361 cast their votes with 63.4% percentage.

In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secured victory in Kirari, with Rituraj Govind winning 86,312 votes, capturing 49.77% of the vote share. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Anil Jha Vats was the runner-up, closely trailing with 80,658 votes.
