Mustafabad Election Results 2025:BJP’s Mohan Singh Bisht wins Mustafabad, defeats AAP’s Adeel Ahmad Khan by over 17,500 votes

NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Mohan Singh Bisht won the Mustafabad assembly seat in North East Delhi, securing 85,215 votes. He defeated his closest rival, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Adeel Ahmad Khan, by a margin of 17,578 votes.

Adeel Ahmad Khan secured 67,637 votes, while Mohd. Tahir Hussain of the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) finished third with 33,474 votes.

Mustafabad, a general-category assembly seat, is part of the North East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. The BJP’s victory marks a shift in electoral fortunes, as AAP had won the seat in the 2020 assembly election when Haji Yunus secured 98,850 votes (53.2%), defeating BJP’s Jagdish Pradhan, who received 78,146 votes (42.1%). The Congress had then finished a distant third, with Ali Mehdi getting 5,363 votes (2.9%).

The current geographical boundaries of Mustafabad were established in 2008 following recommendations from the Delimitation Commission of India.

In 2020, Mustafabad legislative assembly constituency had total 262750 electors. Total number of valid vote was 185792. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Haji Yunus won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 98850 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Jagdish Pradhan stood second with total 78146 votes. He lost by 20704 votes.

In 2015, Mustafabad legislative assembly constituency had total 233445 electors. Total number of valid vote were 1,65,269. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Jagdish Pradhan won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 58,388 votes. Indian National Congress candidate Hasan Ahmed stood second with total 52357 votes. He lost by 6,031 votes.
